First Aid at Work (Ofqual Regulated (QCF))

Duration:

3 days / 18 hours

 

Target Audience:

Nominated workplace first aiders or anyone wanting a comprehensive introduction to first aid.

 

Course Details:

The course will give you the knowledge and confidence to deal with a first aid emergency in

the workplace or home. Candidates will also be competent in Health and Safety regulations within

the workplace. After completing a final assessment carried out by external assessors, successful candidates will receive a Ofqual Regulated (QCF) approved certificate which is valid for 3 years.

This course is legally compliant with the current Health and Safety (first aid) Regulations 1981. It is strongly recommended that you update your skills

by taking a 3 hour annual first aid update.

 

 

First Aid Update​

 

Duration:

Half day / 3 hours

 

Target Audience:

First aiders who want to keep their basic skills and knowledge up to date. It is strongly recommended that first aiders attend this course annually during their 3 year certification period.

 

Course Details:

To practice and update your skills during your 3 year period as a qualified first aider. There is no final examination with this course the trainer will continually assess each candidate throughout the course. Each successful candidate will receive a certificate which is valid for 12 months.

 

 

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillation (AED)

 

Duration:

Half day / 3 hours​

 

Target Audience:

This course is suitable for anyone interested in developing their first aid skills.​

 

Course Details:

AED's save lives. Statistics show that more than 75 000 lives per year in the UK could be saved by the immediate availability of an AED for the person in Cardiac arrest. This course teaches the essential skills required by an AED operator and gives delegates the confidence in using different models of a defibrillator. No previous first aid knowledge is necessary to attend an AED course. There is no final examination with this course, the trainer will continually assess each candidate throughout the course. Each successful candidate will receive a certificate which is valid for 12 months.

 

 

Emergency CPR and First Aid Course​

 

Duration:

Half day / 3 hours

 

Target Audience:

This course is suitable for anyone interested in developing their first aid skills.

 

Course Details:

This course covers the basic emergency first required to help save somebody's life. This course has been designed for anyone over the age of 12 years old. There is no final examination with this course the trainer will continually assess each candidate throughout the course. Each successful candidate will receive a certificate which is valid for 12 months.

 

 

Emergency First Aid at Work (Ofqual Regulated (QCF))

 

Duration:

1 day / 6 hours

 

Target Audience:

Nominated emergency first aiders, or anyone wanting a one day introduction to first aid

 

Course Details:

Basic life saving first aid and workplace health and safety regulations There is no final examination with this course the trainer will continually assess each candidate throughout the course. Each successful candidate will receive a Ofqual Regulated (QCF) approved certificate which is valid for 3 years. This course is legally compliant with the current Health and Safety (first aid) Regulations 1981. It is strongly recommended that you update your skills by taking a 3 hour annual first aid update.

 

 

First Aid Re-qualification Course

 

Duration:

2 days / 12 hours​

 

Target Audience:

This course is for people wishing to renew a valid first aid at work certificate. Please note that this course must be completed within 28 days of your First Aid at Work certificate expiring.  Its is strongly recommend that this is only used if the annual first aid updates have been completed. 

 

Course Details:

The course aims to update and refresh your knowledge of the First aid at work syllabus, while allowing time for revision and practice sessions in preparation for a final assessment. After completing a final assessment carried out by external assessors, successful candidates will receive a Ofqual Regulated (QCF) approved certificate which is valid for 3 years. This course is legally compliant with the current Health and Safety (first aid) Regulations 1981. It is strongly recommended that you update your skills

by taking a 3 hour annual first aid update.

 

 

Anaphylaxis Awareness and Auto-injector Training (EpiPen® /Anapen®)​

 

Duration:

Half day / 3 hours

 

Target Audience:

This course is suitable for anyone interested in developing their first aid skills.​

 

Course Details:

This course covers all the learning criteria of the anaphylaxis campaign, including, the causes, signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis, treatment of anaphylaxis and the use of the two generally available auto injectors (EpiPen® /Anapen®)

There is no final examination with this course the trainer will continually assess each candidate throughout the course. Each successful candidate will receive a certificate which is valid for 12 months.
